NET is a new member of AHRI
With the goal of providing more and more solutions suited to the HVAC and Refrigeration industries, NET has recently joined as International member the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). AHRI is the trade association representing manufacturers of HVACR and water heating equipment within the global industry.
AHRI advocates on behalf of its members at all levels of government, working to ensure that members’ interests are included in final drafts of legislation. It also has a certification program that is relied heavily upon by regulators for accurate and unbiased evaluation of heating, water heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration equipment. Lastly, AHRI develops industry-recognized performance standards for industry equipment.
Aside from these three tiers, AHRI is viewed as a resource for industry shipment data, education and workforce information, and research. AHRI is an industry powerhouse, providing our members with one industry voice.
AHRI and its committees serve as a forum for the development of technical performance standards for industry equipment, and its standards establish rating criteria and procedures for measuring and certifying HVACR manufacturer’s efficiency and performance claims for their equipment.
NET has been providing gas detection solutions to the HVAC and Refrigeration industry for several years with the IRNET, IREF PRO and IREF LITE line of products, as the shift to lower-GWP (Global Warming Potential) has increased the use of gases such as CO2, Propane, Ammonia and new-generation Refrigerants. With the aim of working more closely with other players within the industry and providing solutions increasingly suited to actual application needs, NET has decided to join AHRI at the beginning of 2022.
To stimulate networking, AHRI has also developed a dedicated platform, named AHRI Connect, on which Air-Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute members and invited guests interact with other air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration industry leaders and technical experts. AHRI Connect allows users to join communities where they can take part in discussions and work collaboratively with colleagues across the globe, access documentation instantaneously, and stay abreast of critical news updates.
